TRAININGS

In India, as per Food Safety and Standards Act 2006, it is a legal requirement that all food handlers are trained in food safety. The training programmes in food safety and standards shall be provided for persons who are or intend to become involved in food businesses, whether as food business operators or employees or otherwise. Food businesses shall also have a food safety program in place and operational.

FSSAI LICENSING AND
REGISTRATION

Every individual or food business operator who is any way related to manufacturing, storage, transportation or distribution of food product must compulsorily obtain FSSAI registration or license. In India, registration or licensing of the food business is governed by the food safety and standards regulations 2011.

Ms. Githa Venkateswaran has over 17 years of experience in diversified food industries majorly in the Middle East and India, spearheading the food safety and hygiene teams and has been responsible for the quality assurance programmes. She has 10+ years of experience in third party audits and trainings.

Ms. Githa Venkat has gained experience in the spice industry, snack food and ice lollies industry, bakery and confectionery, fast food industry, catering industry, food packaging and other related sectors.

She has done many trainings since 2006 for international hotel chains - Rotana Group, Hilton Group, One & Only Royal Mirage, Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa, Hatta Fort Hotel, Oasis Beach Hotel to name a few. She has conducted many training's on different levels of HACCP, food safety & hygiene trainings, ISO 9001, ISO 22000 trainings, company induction program refresher training's and other customized trainings.
